Teenage girls, a creepy island, government conspiracies, mutations, hormones, there is a lot going on in Wilder Girls to like and fear. Rory Power weaved a story that I believe is definitely a unique tale for YA. The overall setting was so mysterious and I couId really picture some foggy, creepy island with a bunch of deranged teenagers living on it. The plot line kept me turning the pages, but some of the characters fell flat for me. I do wish some of the characters were more fleshed out so that I would have better connected with what they were going through. But that is not to say that I didn't like them. I liked the openness of the ending as it fit with the mysterious atmosphere.

Overall, Wilder Girls was an interesting tale with a good amount of creepiness. I do feel this book had the complete potential to be great, but just needed a little more something.
