I had high expectations based on what I have been told and I was expecting a lot of excitement and intense mystery. At first, there was a lot of anticipation and emotion. But I got to be about halfway through and the execution sort of fell flat. The point of view changes felt a little unnecessary. The main character's attempt at solving the mystery did not feel good enough. The side characters did not seem to add much to the story. I felt myself dreading finishing the book because the mystery did not feel worth solving. I wish there was a bit more building to how they ended up in the situation they were in rather than just jumping into it. It seemed both fast paced but really slow at the same time. Overall, the idea and the plot was very well thought out and had me excited, but the execution of how it was actually done was not as good as i would have liked it to be.
