This book was so annoying. You knew what was coming at the end of the book. It wasn’t hard to guess. In my opinion the ending was rushed and half a**ed.
She tried to have too many ideas all in one book; climate change, an infectious disease, a possible feminine hormone disease and a corrupt school hierarchy. I don’t really think anything meshed super well together.
I really struggled through the last 80 pages, that’s when Ms. Powers tried to make the whole ending happen. I wish there was a bit more of an explanation to the disease. It feel flat, if maybe she added another 50 pages to explain why and how. It would have been a lot better for me.
I am more than willing to give her second book a try so she can redeem herself. I just wanted more!
