When I first read the synopsis for The Wilder Girls by Rory Power, I was so intrigued and knew that I had to get my hands on a copy as soon as possible. Immediately you're dropped into a world where an unknown sickness has infected everyone and everything - including the plants and animals - on a small island which holds an all-girls boarding school. You want to know more, right? Well, so did I. The concept and idea of the story was amazing, but I was left with more questions than answers as the book progressed. What I think would be very helpful is either a prequel to the story which gives more of the backstory which I was craving or a sequel that would answer the questions that I still have. I am glad to have read the book, however, and I know for many people this will be one of their favorite books of the year.
