The synopsis grabbed my attention the first time I saw it. After reading the First Look, I’m loving this book! I’m allll about feminist dystopias.
For a debut novel, I was impressed! I’m always a sucker for dual Point of View stories, so that was an aspect of this book that I really enjoyed. I also tend to enjoy dark, gritty books that portray the messy and ugly sides of humanity, so I liked how raw this book was.
I thought this would be the perfect book to read in the fall around Halloween just because I tend to read creepy things during that season. So while I do wish that I’d waited a little while to read it, I still enjoyed this book. I found the ending to be not as satisfying as I might have liked, but was still good nonetheless!
