A school full of teenage girls is trapped on a quarantined island, watching their supplies slowly dwindle as each new illness hits hard. Some girls have scales, some have plants growing from their eyes and others don't survive long enough to see what weird thing changes on their body.
The premise of the book is wild and it definitely delivered on the all-girl Lord of the Flies scenario it promises. The group slowly turns on one another as they search for a way off the island and for a cure they desperately need. It is scary and fast-paced and hopeful and I loved it.
One thing I didn't care for was the ending!! No spoilers but I feel like it does end on a cliffhanger and it's a standalone so that was interesting!
