Wilder Girls is a YA sapphic horror, set in a girls boarding school on an island off of the East Coast of the US. A strange disease has taken the island and mutated the victims if it hasn't killed them. The girls and their teachers are unable to contact the mainland except for shipments of supplies, and to get these they have to face the horrors of the wild and the animals that have been mutated as well.
Horror isn't usually the genre I go for, however I tried this book because the cover was gorgeous. The romance wasn't amazing but I still liked it and I did think the plot was really interesting. There was some body horror but it wasn't that graphic however if you're not into that I suggest not reading this book. I think it's the type of book that only a specific group of people will like, so if you don't like the writing style in the first few chapters, maybe don't continue with it. Overall it wasn't my favorite book but it kept me entertained for me to finish it.
