Wilder Girls was not terrible but not that great either. It started off slow and continued at a very slow pace. I picked up this book because I thought it was relevant to the current situation of people being quarantined from COVID. It was good, but I felt like I was too old to read the novel. It is marketed as a Young Adult novel. I like reading YA novels but this once's plot never deterred from the predictable plot. I thought that it had a good start and potential with the initial outbreak and cases but then it plateaued and did not hold as much interest. It also seemed to be unrealistic on many counts. The young women at Raxter School were compelling characters that kept the reader interested even though there was not much of a plot to keep it going. For a younger reader it would be a very exciting book to read however for someone a little older not as much.
