I had seen some reviews on instagram that were not particularly favorable of Wilder Girls, but I decided to go ahead and read it anyway. The book had some interesting plot points and a whole lot of potential. Unfortunately, it just fell flat in most ways.
I thought the writing seemed kind of choppy and often it was difficult to determine who was talking during conversations. While it was interesting that this island of girls would be infected by an unknown disease, the vast variety of ailments made it difficult to believe, no matter what world the book is set in.
I was interested enough to keep reading, but there wasn't much about this book I enjoyed. I think that if the author had a better editor, she might have had a better flowing book.
