The front cover is definitely eye catching but the bluntness of the protagonist and the informative description intrigues me and I definitely want to finish reading this book asap!
Hetty seems like a character with a toughness about her and the will to survive but this growing thing behind her eye - does it mean something or will it make her better?
The lord of the flies element is definitely being played and it’s so well done seeing the girls forming cliques but also the animosity that’s formed and how we return to animals when we have our humanity stripped from us. How the rest of the world might treat us if we were to become different from the norm or that we might challenge what it means to be human again.
I really do love the sound of this book and hope to read it fully soon.
