This is a young adult horror novel, but in this kind of time to be reading about an isolated quarantined school where things are starting to fall apart is strange. It feels like rereading Lord of the Flies, but in a different way, like a retelling.
I like how the fragile or weak character, Hetty, gets stronger as the novel progresses, but it still seems like the main characters are missing something, maybe because we can't get to know them more.
I found it quite easy to read, with a rather intriguing opening scene, however, despite being for young adults, it contains some scenes that could be very strong for some sensitive people, incorporating pain or even violence; but the combination of a female boarding school, a community isolated from society and a virus that causes mutations is a very good idea, however I would have liked them to develop more about the virus.
