The feminist YA dystopian theme very popular right now, and my only issue is that dystopian themes are not my favorite reading. I can appreciate the cover artwork and the quality of the writing though, and I am sure this would make a great present for a young feminist teenager that likes edgy writing. There are many books out there about gay teenagers but I feel like the writing in this particular book stands out more than the others. I look forward to seeing more books by this author, as I know there is a large audience available for this genre. There are never enough books with strong feminine characters and this author has demonstrated that it can be done so I am hoping this style of writing sets a new trend.
