“The way it happened is that the woods got it first. That’s what I think, anyway. Even before the wilderness reached inside us, it was seeping into the earth.”

The Raxter School for Girls has been put under quarantine since the Tox hit.
It started slow, first the teachers died one by one. Then it began to infect the students. When Hetty’s best friend Byatt goes missing, she will do anything to find her, even break quarantine and face the horrors behind the fence.
Have you ever finish a book and just don’t know what to think about it?
I went to this book completely blind, wich I often do, I was drawn to it by the cover wich I loved.
It’s a creepy story with apocalyptic vibes and bad ass female characters.
The end left me a little confused and with a lot of questions so I’m hoping for a sequel.

“The cure is coming, as long as we stay alive.”

“The Tox took who they were, took everything except how to hold a knife.”

“We shouldn’t be here. This place isn’t ours anymore.”
