I heard mixed reviews of this book. They story is an interesting idea, creepy in a good way with a dreadful sort of feeling. But then, at times it just seems creepy to be creepy and just sort of dreadful without purpose. Hetta and Byatt have the promise of individual, interesting storylines that will weave in and out, but there seem to be holes throughout. I liked it, but didn’t love it. I thought it was creepy, but more like seeing a car crash I can’t look away from. There are some original ideas here but I would have like to feel more suspense then horror, which is fine too so long as there is the suspense to propel you forward. The plot twists are well done but there are some you can see coming. So, in the end, I liked it, but didn’t love it.
