The cover instantly made me think "Hanahaki" - flower disease and then I read the summary and thought perfect. Without the cover I may of passed on this book partly because I find many dystopian novels just romances in disguise or another zombie tale. This novel looks like it is going to go beyond these plots which is great. This book has the potential to be a five rating but until I see how the story progresses it is a four. The author has options on how to continue with the story - Is it just about the Tox/State of the world? Is it about relationships? Is it about Survival? I am looking forward to seeing how she develops the story. Thus far the comparisons to "Lord of the Flies" makes sense maybe it will be the new Feminist counterpart to that novel.
