Wow! I'm already hooked on this book and it's only the first 29 pages. First of all, the cover is wonderful. It's beautiful, but at the same time showcases the horrors that will appear in the book. It's a good representation of how the characters' bodies are unraveling because of the Tox.
From the summary, I know that Byatt will eventually go missing and I'm curious to find out. I also really want to learn more about the Tox. It seems like it makes the animals in the wood feral, but does it do the same thing to humans? Is the Navy ever going to find a cure? Or did the Navy start this illness as an experiment? So many questions and I am fascinated by this world.
