I liked that this preview gave me just enough details to want to know more. Right now, the premise is only partially sketched out, but that's exactly what kept me turning pages.
The introduction is startling because we meet young girls living in some sort of apocalyptic scenario in which they are all slowly dying off. Then, we learn that things are dire because the girls are desperately fighting for an orange, of all things.
We know something called the Tox is making girls sick, but we don't really know why this is happening just yet.
The military sends supplies and is promising some sort of help, but we're left to suspect that this promise isn't really genuine.
Shooting practice is important because the girls have to be ready to kill...something?
