I was very surprised with this book, I just expected maybe a history lesson from the past but this book is so much more.
This book has mystery, suspense, ambition, murder, and love.

Wild Women and the Blues is a historical fiction novel set in the 1920’s jazz age of Chicago. The story seamlessly blends two stories into one. Wild Women and the Blues is told from two pov’s: sawyer a film student in 2015 and Honoree the past from a showgirl in the 1920’s

Sawyer is researching Oscar Devereaux Micheaux, an African American film producer/director and author from the 1920s. He finds out that Micheaux’s chorus girl Honoree, is still alive so he visits her, and his life is forever changed.

Overall the writing was excellent. The story was a bit slow paced at times and some parts seemed a little too far fetched but I would give this book a 3.5 star rating.
