I wanted to read this book because I love the 1920s jazz era! The synopsis immediately made me think of the stories from Daisy Jones and the Six, The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, and The Final Revival of Opal and Nev. Rather than being told in an interview format, the story is told from parallel perspectives, Honoree in the 1920s and Sawyer in 2015. Honoree is so likeable, with the dedication and commitment to her goals that would inspire anyone. The writing of this book is so easy to read and it pulls you in without you even realizing that you've entered a new world. The cover of the book is absolutely gorgeous, with the classic 1920s dancer and a beautiful emerald green spine. You have to read this if you love historical fiction, jazz, and uncovering deep secrets of the past. I really enjoyed this book and will recommend to anyone looking for a new artsy book.
