I absolutely loved reading this story and can’t thank the publisher and bookish first for giving me the opportunity to read this. I love historical fiction and this is one story that I will read multiple times.
I was hooked after the first sentence and had to know what was going to happen and who was going to be involved. I liked that it was set in two different years with multiple views. I also liked how the two main characters were pointed out at the beginning of the chapter so that each view was told and then put together by the end of the chapter. I also liked that the characters were easily relatable and that parts of history were woven seamlessly into the story.
You could really tell that the author did the research to get parts of history woven as accurately as possible into the story. I also liked how there was some mystery thrown in to keep you guessing.
I will definitely be recommending this book and look forward to reading more by this author.
