Amazing story
A great story that transported me to Chicago in the 1920s, the jazz era! I loved the book from beginning to end. The dual time-line was beautifully written. The story of Honoree, a dancer back in the 1920s and Sawyer, a film student who in 2015 is conducting a documentary of the jazz era and interviews Honoree. Both, Honoree and Sawyer are about to discover things from their life thanks to this interview that they didn't know. It has a mystery component and also relevant information from the past, as it is a historical fiction book. It touches topics such as gangs, death, grief and how different the world was for women back then. It is a fast and interesting read. I recommend this book to any historical fiction lover. The characters are well developed and the mood is perfectly set for the 20s as well as today's era. It was a different kind of story that didn't disappoint, besides the cover is so beautiful!
