I absolutely loved this book so far. It's a 1920s blues era with POC characters. Honorees character is one tough lady in a world that was very much a man's world. The story goes back and forth between 1925 and 2015. In 2015 we meet Sawyer who tries to interview a 110 year old Honoree in an old folks home. She is the same old tough lady that she was back in 1925. I can't wait to read this book more to find out her whole story. If I don't win this book I'll definitely buy it. The cover is beautiful and outstanding.
