1925 and Chicago is the jazz capital. Honoree is the sharecropper's daughter and she spends her nights dancing in the ritziest club in town. Her ambition may get her in trouble in a town like this where bootleg whiskey, gambling and gangsters are here to stay. Fast forward to 2015, a film student meets with Honoree to document her life story.
