Historical fiction is always a mixed bag for me especially when it involves time jumps between the past and present. Not every writer does that well. But we were easily transferred through time to the life of young Honoree. She has big dreams of becoming a Broadway dancer and dancing at the club is her stepping stone. The lavish descriptions of the speakeasy already pulled me in and I can tell this one is going to be a wild ride.
