I feel like it's not often you find historical fiction based on black women, and I would love the chance to read this novel. Honoree's story seems to be an interesting one and I like the way that it's told in a present to past way. I want to know more about why Sawyer is so interested in his grandmother's old 'friend' and about his career. Hopefully I get the chance to pick this book up some time!
