Honoree's chapters have already established an immersive and vibrant setting in Jazz Age Chicago, and I like the inclusion of Sawyer's perspective in 2015, which is relatable to us as the reader piecing together and imagining life during that time. The dual timeline featuring Honoree's own perspective in the 20's and Sawyer's gradual discovery of her story at her bedside reminded me of the narrative style in The Things We Cannot Say by Kelly Rimmer, which I found very compelling.
