First of all, I LOVE dual timeline stories that mix present with the past with a subtle to obvious connection. I was sold by that element in the first chapter, but I'm still not sure about the writing style. The small amount I got to read wasn't enough to really invest. I'm hoping it begins to flow better as the story continues.
