What an interesting relationship that Malabar and Adrienne have with one another. It’s not your typical mother/ daughter bond, but I was drawn to the book because my mom and I are VERY close. Lorelai & Rory esque, with my mom being a bit less flippant and a bit more motherly.
I had high expectations of this book and they were definitely met! Lots of drama, interesting twists and it makes you really think about those closest to you! That it's often those that are the closest to us hurt us the most just because they can.
At different points throughout the book, I felt my allegience change, first to Adrienne, then to Malabar and back again. Definitely made me wonder how my mom and I would act in the same situation!
