I genuinely enjoyed this entire book start to finish. I caught myself audibly gasping several times with shock and sadness. The blurb had me immediately drawn in and the book was even more enticing. A real page turner! Our main character's mother has began an affair with her husband's best friend. & of all people in the world she could tell she decides to tell her teenage daughter. The book continues to bring shock value as we go on. Two families intertwined and a secret constantly brewing with the chance of spilling out at any moment. I adored the coastal setting and could really feel the author's love for the beach, ocean, and the land on which she grew up on. I am really a sucker for a celeb memoir. Even without knowing anything about the author or her life before reading this I was still drawn in and couldn't wait to see how it all played out.
