Not what I expected...

From the description, I wasn't expecting this to be anything more than kind of a sleazy beach read, so imagine my surprise and delight that it actually had some literary merit also, and read well. It immediately drew me into the story and the characterizations popped out as identifiable and intriguing individuals. And it wasn't quite as salacious, at least not so far, which is a plus in my book. Instead of a kind of reverse Lolita situation, I found the relationships between the characters, especially the mother and daughter, to be both realistic and compelling. It really did make me want to read further to see how the author develops both the characters and the plotline. Hoping I make the cut, since I can't wait to find out what happens next! :-)
