Loved this memoir!
I loved Wild Game so much more than I expected I would! I initially passed over it with little interest, but upon seeing several great reviews, I decided to give it a shot. I'm so glad I did! It was a fairly short and quick read, so I sped through this one.
The stories told were both appalling, but also in some ways felt a bit relatable at times. It definitely made me take a closer look at some of the aspects of my own relationships with my family! I couldn't decide whether I hated the mother's selfishness, or felt for some of her situations - I think it ended up being a bit of both.
Ultimately, this was just a really unique story, and I was so torn on my feelings throughout! I loved the lessons learned by the author, and how she used those to drive her relationships in the future.
