I loved the way Adrienne told her story, she wrote it beautifully. I don’t usually say that a memoir is a page turner for me but I can truly say that about this book. To be honest, the story itself was frustrating to me and I was very irritated by Malabar and her lover and their blatant disregard for other people’s’ feelings. I wanted Adrienne to cut her mother out of her life all together but I know that is easier said than done. I appreciate the honesty in Adrienne’s story. It really goes to show how much emotional damage an affair can cause to all the family and friends around those involved. This book really held my interest and I found myself really wanting to know how it all turned out!
