The way this mother is raising her daughter breaks every rule in the book. This family is a bomb, just waiting to go off. I'm fascinated by books with great psychological tension. It doesn't get tenser than having your daughter cover for your extra-marital affair. I especially love that this is a book about resiliency in relationships. Seeing how this daughter and mother heal will is something I highly anticipate.
