Not Really My Thing

The first pages of Wild Game didn't really impress me that much. The writing was decent enough, but it really wasn't my thing. There was a lot of discussion of the food they were eating. It really didn't impress me. Then out of the blue this boy shows up and makes out with the protagonist. Fine, they have a history together. Then, her married mom wakes her up to tell her that she kissed another (married) guy? Who does that? I guess this family does. It was all a little strange to me. While it may be a book other people like, I wasn't interested enough to want to read the book later. Although I love the cover.
