I am not familiar with this author however, I found her writing intriguing. Her prose is truly beautiful and descriptive. The story is usual I've never read anything like this in which the mother confides her affair to another man to her daughter. The use of food imagery to seduce a man reminds me of the book LIKE WATER FOR CHOCOLATE. I would read this book b/c the concept is so unusual as well as for the prose.
