I have always been a fan of Lynda Laplante, reading her stories and the adaptations to British TV has been a favorite thing to watch. Widows sounds like it will be a great story, about women who are left as widows and the life they lead after. Reading the excerpt gives the reader a glimpse into the lives of these women. In Dolly's case for instance, I get the feeling that her husband Harry had more to him than meets the eye. What really happened to Harry? What caused his death. I believe that Dolly is the chief protagonist and the other women secondary to her. I could be wrong but that is how it comes across to me. A suspenseful story for sure! I think I would enjoy reading this one and loving it.
