I DNFd this book 1/3 of the way into it. In the Firstlook, the book's writing seemed a lot more cohesive than what it ended up being when I started actually reading the book. Not that the writing is bad but for me the way that the words flow together really effects how much I enjoy reading a book. I found the book and plot to be a bit rushed and try-hard but it is a sequel so perhaps that's to be expected but I do enjoy sequels that are their own story while casually expanding the story of the first book rather than just completely continuing it. That was what I thought I would get when I requested to read the book but that's not what I got, which is what brings us here to this review. It just wasn't a good fit for me.
