This book was the K-drama turned book I needed in my life. Every other chapter I would stop and say out loud “OMG, this is a freaking K-drama!” The nonstop action and romance is what made me fall in love with this book. It also reminded me of one of my first K-dramas I ever watched, My Girlfriend is a Gumiho, and the author slyly mentioned this drama and I was so HYPED! I loved how this book showed the struggles Miyoung dealt with in her life and how Jihoon helped her through them. Forgiveness was also a big factor in this book by showing it isn’t easy to forgive when pride is in the way, and I related a lot to Jihoon in that way when it came to how hard it was to forgive the people he loved like his mother and Miyoung. I recommend this book to anyone who wants to read a great representation of Korean folklore and family love.
