I don't think I have ever been so relieved to have finished a book. I was so excited to see how this author worked to bring all these different elements into this book, but it just did not work together.
I am someone who will never not finish a book, but with this one I came close. Reading this book felt like a chore and I just never want reading to feel like that.
It seems like we're supposed to root and support these relationships and friendships in this book, but to me, they were all annoying and really felt toxic for some of our characters.
This book felt so incredibly long, I kept thinking that I was getting close to the end only to have another major plot introduced with a hundred pages left in the book.
