This book was super hyped for me and I think that kind of lead to some unrealistically high expectations. The cover is BEAUTIFUL (those shades of pink/purple is amazing) and the concept sounded so amazing! Unfortunately, this book just kind of fell flat for me. I went into this expecting to be immersed into the world of Korean mythology but instead I felt that the story leaned on the romance aspect far too much. The characters' personalities are told rather than shown through actions. There was very little build up and things just kind of came out of nowhere. I felt little chemistry between Miyoung and Jihoon. I definitely think that the hype ruined this one for me and I might have enjoyed it a tad bit more if I had lower expectations going into it.
