Korean mythology with a modern twist
Wow! What an exciting read. I would have finished it one sitting if I didn’t have frequent interruptions.
I loved the Korean mythology. I’m still new to it, and I’ve read other books featuring the nine tailed fox, but in this book I finally felt the danger and the power of the gumiho.
The mystery is excellent, always kept me guessing with some jaw dropping K drama-esque reveals as the story progressed. This is definitely a book that would make a great TV series.
There is a hint of YA romance, but the focus of this book is friendship, which I loved for this story. I definitely appreciated the found family feels.
I am psyched for book 2, Vicious Spirits, and I am so happy I preordered it.
