I was very excited to read this book and I did like it. First off the cover is amazing. Secondly, I loved the characters. The world-building was amazing and I think the author did an amazing job with that. I would say that I did not understand some aspects as far as the story and where it was going it had me a little lost.
So I think that part made the overall but a little underwhelming and by the end, I was disappointed because I did want this to be a good read, as the synopsis and the cover are so intriguing. But other than that I think the characters and their development throughout the story is really what carried the story and is the main aspect that I personally loved. I think if the story was on the level of how great the worldbuilding and character development was I think it would have definitely been five stars. But overall I did like the story and would be willing to reading something else from this author.
