Wicked Fox is a good solid read that gives a glimpse into a fantastical world set in South Korea. I was already excited to read a book about an unknown country (for me), but I was even more excited to read the fantasy aspects of this novel. The writing itself is very plain with no frills, but it works in a novel like this that is setting up a real yet fantastical world.
The premise is engaging and fun. The walk in the woods that escalates into a dangerous encounter with an otherworldly legend kept me interested and wanting to follow both characters to the conclusion of the book. I also enjoyed the idea of the physical changes for our nine-tailed fox from her human form to her mystical form.
