This book brings Korean folklore to life with a contemporary twist! This is the K-drama (Korean TV drama) in book for that I've been searching for, set in modern day Seoul. It is part teen romance, part mystery, with supernatural creatures throwing a wrench into the mix. One aspect that may confuse and deter readers unfamiliar with k-dramas is the story structure. Halfway through the book, the story seems to reach its climax, only to continue on, building again with more story and more details. I found it a refreshing change from the tradition vampire or werewolf story with the gumiho (nine-tailed fox woman) at its center. I'm hoping it will be a series so I can see what is in store for Jihoon and Gu Miyoung.
