The world of Asian mythology is so vast and rich that I am always excited when a new book decides to explore different aspects, especially since I have not seen a YA urban fantasy set in Korea and based on their culture and stories. The excerpt had all the aspects of K-drama that I adore, particularly when it comes to the romance. The idea of a female character that must survive by devouring the energy of men is something that I have not seen before except in the case of succubi. It reminds me of the premise of one of my favorite shows Lost Girl. I am excited to read how this story works with that premise. This book has a promising set up for a fascinating and unique urban fantasy that feels fresh.
