Miyoung and Jihoon are people from two very different worlds. The tale of how they cross paths is intriguing. This folklore tale about a nine tailed demon fox is unlike anything I’ve read before. The struggle that Miyoung faces with her mother and what she is versus her own internal desires keeps you interested and invested in the characters. It’s wonderfully written. I love that it is set in Seoul and that the writing really gives you a sense of Korean culture and customs. My first impression of this book is that it is new and exciting. A story that will grab you from the first page and keep you hooked until the very last. Kat Cho is an awesome writer of a book that everyone who loves fantasy needs to read.
