Not the most original idea, but I love the writing and premise

What caught my attention right away was the writing style - it was so easy and smooth to get into. And the rich descriptions! The author really gave me a sense of place, transporting me into the world of the novel with its crumbling cityscape and moonlit streets. I could practically smell the refuse in the alleyways and feel the light breeze blowing above the rooftops.

I also enjoyed what I've read of the character of Miyoung so far. She seems like a tough girl who can take care of herself. Then there's Jihoon whom I felt an immediate connection to because of the way he was introduced, clicking away at a computer. And I liked the way his chapter quickly introduced us to some action.

Overall, I find myself already drawn to the gritty setting, and the characters so far are very appealing to me. I know the general gist of the novel thanks to the publisher description, and while it doesn't seem like the most original premise, I am still curious to see where our characters' paths will take them. The first six chapters I got to check out here definitely made me want to read more.
