Not sure where to start, but the mystery begins immediately as to who killed Ickey. And we are off as Ded begins looking for the culprit. He first must face his own demons along the way and has to discover new ways to look at everything around him. The plot is complex, and there are twists. But all and all I though it was difficult to read, all over the place and I found myself stopping and thinking I had missed something. There seems to be many blocks to the story and I did not find it comical when the author intended some areas to make us laugh. I don't think humor is the discussion of sexual things and I also don't think it added anything to the mystery. I did not know anything about William Blake and I don't think it mattered as most individuals thought it might assist with the storyline. The book does entail mythology, art and poetry. I loved the cover of the book but the story not so much.
