I am not a fan of the cover art for “Who Killed Jerusalem.” Based on the art, I would not be apt to pick this novel off a shelf because it appears to have religious themes. However, I was pleasantly surprised to discover this is actually a mystery set in the 70’s. Never would I have guessed this based on the cover art!

After reading the First Look, my biggest complaint is the characters names. At first I managed to look past the names, but by the time I made it to the list of first class passengers, I almost lost it - they were just too much. While the names are arguably unique, I found them incredibly distracting and feel they ultimately take away from the story. On the flip side, I love that this book does not appear to be your average detective story - after all, the main character is an insurance adjuster! Overall, this novel seems to be an interesting read and I am eager to find out who killed Ickey Jerusalem!
