The opening felt like a classic mystery, and the writing worked well for it. I really think there is good potential for an interesting book once it gets going. There wasn't enough to draw me in, but that's because some mysteries I find it difficult to care about. Those who like the thrill of them would really enjoy it. The issue here is more of this isn't my type of book, but if I'm in the mood for something different I would think about checking it out.
